Steel socket head screws are set in a counter bore for a flush mount and provide clamping force to firmly hold the upper and lower slider shafts in place. Like our original design, the shift throw distance and shift knob height are independently adjustable and both can easily be adjusted with the shifter installed in the vehicle. I recommend getting an aftermarket shift knob for it because if you tighten the stock shift knob too much the shift pattern guide will pop off.Designed using CAD technology, the COBB Black anodized billet shifter body is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum. Each shift is smooth and crisp, and significantly shorter than stock.

It' s a bit of a pain to install (I blame Subaru for that) but with a little bit of patience you will get it and let me tell you, its well worth it. This short shifter is really well made (not to mention the only one i' ve found for the 2015 WRX). These guys have great customer service and great products. My short shifter came in I havent installed it yet but cant wait. I dont know if that was already included but it made the experience even better. So after i contacted them Mike immediately refunded the amount and had told me he also included a bottle opener, beanie and stickers. I ordered the Boomba Short Shifter and seconds later i realized there was a 10% discount. A lot of people were saying the install was a pain in the ass so I think it was worth the additional cost. I had everything installed by subaru which ran me an additional $250. The shifts are crazy short and that makes the car that much more enjoyable to drive. I got this along with the shifter plate and a perrin bushing. I would absolutely recommend thid to anyone considering it.

Only issue I had was the installation instructions on the website didn' t have instructions, and some instruction for how to put the side shifter back together would have been fantastic! Other than that the install was pretty smooth, maybe 2-2 1/2 hours tops.Dont lithium grease the reverse lockout, it’s all sticky now. High quality short shifter, Made a world of a difference in my 2015+ WRX, the dull grinding sound going to third went away, shift’s VERY nice now, so glad i spent the time for the tesious install.
Product is great and furthermore Boomba has great customer service! Shifter feels a lot more smooth and driving is more enjoyable. Best car part I’ve bought for my car thus far. It took a while to install, but it was worth it. This is a must have mod, I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. I recommend taking a lot of pictures of how it is before taking it apart. The videos show how to take it apart but not how to put it back together. The issues I had was putting the shifter assembly back together. The short throw shifter paired with a shifter stop is so good! There are some good videos on YouTube that we’re very helpful (SubiSpeed, Theshaddix, Ryan’s Random Ridez). The installation was not easy to be completely honest but it is soooo worth it! The difference it night and day from stock. the only con is that my shift boot is getting stuck between the shifter and my Perrin shift stopper now because of the extra slack due to the lowered shifter height. I paired with a shift plate as well and am very pleased with it. This shifter eliminates side to side slop and the gears are very easy to row now.
